A message from an avid reader -

I have 903 nights with Marriott but only Gold lifetime status because my spending is less that $2M. Received a mass distribution email today from Marriott which refelcts that I will also be gold in the new program but am losing lounge access!!!!!!

Think there care that there are calternative palces to stay, espcecially from someone who travels as I do?

    Thaks.

    Hi Steven,

Lucky wrote about this when the changes were first announced, have you seen his post?

There also isn't currently a spending requirement for status? Did you mean you have less than 2,000,000 points?

If you are currently a Gold earned through nights, you'd actually qualify for Platinum under the new program because the threshold for earning Platinum in the new program is 50 nights, which is the current threshold for Gold. Gold is becoming 25-49 nights.
