    dear Lucky

My goal is to use miles to fly first class from SP ( GRU ) to CDG/FRA/ZRH .
Air France Flying Blue asks for more than 200.000 miles for EACH LEG and LUFTHANSA/ SWISS demands 210.000 miles for a return ticket. I earn miles using SWISS Miles and More Amex Platinum Card, which gives me 2,4 miles for each 2 USD spent OR Air France Flying Blue Amex Platinum Card, which gives me 1 miles for each 1 EUR spent.
I am not a US resident, so I do not have access to credit cards issued only for residents.
What do you suggest? Give up using the Air France Amex credit card and concentrate my expenses on Swiss Miles and More Amex Platinum Card?

    Cordially

    Hello George.

Would you mind sharing where in Europe you are going? Is CDG/FRA/ZRH your finally destination or are you connecting there?

You do know that you have to be an elite member in their respective FF programs to redeem miles for Swiss or AF First right? Just having the miles is not enough.
    Swiss is hardest.

AF is easier, you only need to be a Silver member.

    Hi

CDG will always be my final destination. If I am flying Lufthansa first, I will connect in FRA. If I am flying Swiss first, I will connect in ZRH.

I am not an elite member in Flying Blue nor in Miles and More.

I collect miles primarily using my Swiss Card Amex Platinum, NOT flying.

    Waiting for your help.

    Cordially

    George

Well if you are not an elite member in Flying Blue nor in Miles and More your only choice for award space in F is Lufthansa since Swiss and AF is not possible without being an elite member.

Thanks for your explanation. So the only thing to do is wait for availability with Tap Victoria Miles at Lufthansa , but only 14 days before the flight

If you have point/miles with Miles and More you can book LH First from when the schedule open up, it's Swiss F you are unable to book without being at least a Senator.

To be able to book a AF F award or upgrade awards you need to be at least a Silver Member in Flyingblue
    https://www.flyingblue.com/about-flyingblue/all-about-levels-and-benefits/silver.html
That is a J flight GRU-FCO-CDG-FCO-GRU on Alitalia just as an example. GRU-CDG on AF is too short.
    13,071 miles at 200%
    https://www.flyingblue.com/earn-and-spend-miles/airlines/partner/175/alitalia.html

Then you would be able to use FB miles to upgrade a J ticket from booking classes J,C and D.
    https://www.flyingblue.com/upgrade-award.html
If this chart is still valid you would need 120K miles each way (Warning large pdf)
    http://www.flyingblue.com/pdf/upgra...operating_AFKL_marketing_&_AFKL_operating.pdf

But it would only be from the more expensive business class tickets, not saver tickets.
